Teen and Youth Fitness

Experience our group exercise classes for youth and teens and Next Level Fitness for teens only! We have identified classes that are family friendly on our group exercise classes. These classes are indicated with a the letter “F” on the group exercise schedule. See the schedules page.

Nutrition Consultation

This one-hour individual consultation is designed to help support your journey to reach your health and fitness goals. Contact Sarah Knowlton for an appointment.

Let us help you be your best!  You can’t reach your goals without knowing where to start so we’re here to help!  A Fitness Assessment is the first step on your road to achieving the results you want.  The Fitness Assessment  includes the following:

Personal Training

Whether you want to improve your overall health, increase your strength, train for a  special event or just become more comfortable with using exercise equipment, personal training may be your answer. No matter your health or wellness goal, the YMCA’s personal training program can provide you the support and motivation you need to reach it. Body Composition Analyzer from Biospace

Monitoring your weight is not enough. It can be misleading when used as an indicator of progress and health. Your body is a complex structure made of different components: water, fat and muscle. In 30 seconds, you will receive a detailed results sheet of the components that are the key in understanding more about your body. It is a more accurate method of bio-impedance analysis, and it is 98% accurate to the dexa scan.

Fitness Center Orientation

Once you have joined the YMCA it is time for you take the first step towards a healthier lifestyle. Our orientation is a great way for you to learn your way around the fitness center with the help of our fitness staff. Contact our Fitness Director, Sarah Knowlton, for more details on this FREE member service.

Activ Trax is our newest system designed to take the guess work out of your workout! Too often we look for simple solutions but can’t find any. Activ Trax will serve as a comprehensive virtual personal trainer that takes you at your current fitness level and challenges you from there. Additionally, YMCA staff is able to see your questions and respond to your needs as you progress. In the end, it is a tool available to you – a tool that we hope makes your membership more valuable.

Want to workout with your child or teen? Try our Family Fitness 101 Program. Sign up for an Active Trax appointment for your orientation with your child. Available for parent and child, ages 12-14. After the orientation, parent and child must check in at the fitness attendant desk to receive a wrist band. Parent must remain with the child and work out together.


Enhance Fitness

Each class session includes cardiovascular, strength training, balance and  flexibility exercises and the fostering of strong social relationships between participants. Enhance®Fitness is geared toward older adults. Those with a chronic condition, such as arthritis, need not worry; they will never have to do anything that hurts. Participants can use chairs for support, if necessary, and use wrist and ankle weights for strength training.

If you enjoyed Team YFIT, you may wish to take the next step to competition. Join Team F.I.T.®  for training, support, motivation, and friendly competition as they compete in local and regional physique competitions.

* Participants must be familiar and comfortable with circuit training and weight room equipment.

* Potential members must join the Y to use the facility outside of meetings.

* Register at the Front Desk.

Indoor Cycling

Indoor cycling is a great cardiovascular workout for anyone! Our cycling classes are offered in many different formats, including interval, strength and endurance.
